For the first time in history, Baby Boomers (born between 1946 and 1964) are changing the definition of retirement. They are seeking ways to renew, revitalize, reinvent, and rediscover. They need answers to numerous questions regarding their health, finances, relationships and actualizations of their goals.
The Boomers Showtm: How to Be Healthier, Wealthier, Wiser...and Live It Up, gives Boomers the opportunity to get their questions answered - to connect with companies, experientially, face-to-face, to gain knowledge and to proceed into the future with more control over their lives. The Expo is a 2-day event, October 25-26, 2008, providing a one-stop experiential venue for products and services relevant to Baby Boomers.
Baby Boomers are the 21st Century's hot topic. 77 Million strong, they are the largest base of consumers and decision makers. They represent massive spending power. They have issues to deal with that are unique to the boomer generation. MSN, NBC, Business Week, Newsweek, USA Today, and many other media are devoting entire sections on topics significant to Baby Boomers.
At The Boomers Showtm: How to Be Healthier, Wealthier, Wiser...and Live It Up, Baby Boomers will be informed and entertained by motivational speakers, and numerous exhibits, presented in pavilions grouped according to their category. Financial Services, Real Estate, Travel, Second Careers, Aesthetics, Anti-Aging, Health & Fitness, High Technology, Luxury Goods, Recreational Activity, and Transportation...each will be presented its own pavilion.
The first Boomers Showtm was produced in June 2005 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The second Boomers Show took place in Las Vegas, October 5-6, 2007.
With the heavy concentration of affluent baby boomers in Southern California, it was a natural to bring the Expo back to California - to the City of Long Beach with its state-of-the-art convention facilities and its numerous recreational options.
Baby Boomers have always made history, they now reinvent retirement. In the '60s and '70s they branded the era of rock and roll, muscle cars, Harleys, and Levi's. Today, purveyors of breakthrough therapies, luxury goods, financial planning, cosmetic makeovers, sexual potency, second homes, and other products that promise the ability to stay forever young market directly to them. The sales of sports cars and expensive motorcycles are skyrocketing. The fashion industry is creating distinct divisions to cater exclusively to Baby Boomers.
Baby Boomers grew up with rock and roll, free speech, and self-discovery. They will do anything to find the magic pill to be able to live healthier, wealthier, and wiser. In October, they will have the opportunity to recapture the voice and energy of the '60s and '70s and apply the information they receive to better their lives now and in the future.
